Senior Civil CAD Designer (Civil3D)

Location: Merritt Island, Florida, United States; hybrid work with office attendance and remote work. Travel up to 10% to project locations and the Space Coast area.

Salary: $85,000–$95,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop civil construction drawing packages in Autodesk Civil3D and AutoCAD.
• Create site, utility, paving, grading, drainage, geometry, detail, schedule, and diagram drawings.
• Build and update surfaces, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, sections, sheet sets, and construction documentation.
• Produce record and as-built drawings from contractor redlines, survey data, and engineer input.
• Apply established standards, specifications, codes, and project requirements to limited civil designs for engineer review.
• Perform site walk-downs, verify existing conditions, compile field data, and provide quality-control reviews.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of civil drafting or design experience using Civil3D for civil construction drawing packages.
• Associate degree in Drafting and Design or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D, AutoCAD, Autodesk Map, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, and Autodesk Recapture.
• Experience with GIS mapping software such as QGIS or ArcGIS, including shapefiles and databases.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering design processes, National CAD Standards, codes, and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Must be a US citizen for security-clearance requirements and able to obtain federal security clearance; a valid unrestricted driver’s license is required.

Nice to have

• Experience coordinating Civil3D with MEP teams in Revit and using BIM/CAD interoperability workflows.
• Experience distributing drafting assignments and estimating labor for proposals.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu for PDF markup and construction document workflows.
