Director of Software Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Lead engineering teams responsible for secure, scalable, cloud-native software products.
• Define and execute product and technology roadmaps with Product Management, Architecture, and executive leadership.
• Modernize legacy applications, monolithic systems, and on-premise platforms through migration to cloud-native architectures.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across architecture, security, reliability, scalability, performance, and technical debt reduction.
• Improve delivery through AI-powered development and testing tools, CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and cloud automation.
• Build and coach engineering managers and engineers while ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and predictable product releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading engineering managers and software development teams.
• Experience delivering and operating enterprise-scale software products in cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in Azure, .NET, C#, Angular, APIs, distributed systems, modern software architecture, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps.
• Experience with Agile software development organizations, reliability engineering, application security, scalability, performance optimization, and DORA metrics.
• Deep understanding of AI-assisted software development and quality engineering tools, including familiarity with Agentic AI platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, payment integrity, payer, claims, or healthcare financial technology.
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams and delivering SaaS or multi-tenant cloud platforms.
• Experience with regulated industries, Databricks, Power BI, and modern data platforms.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
