Director, Software Engineering (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Lead, grow, and develop a high-performing product engineering team through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Partner with Product Management to translate client needs and business priorities into engineering strategy, roadmaps, and delivery plans.
• Set technical direction, architecture standards, and agentic workflow practices while engaging in system design decisions.
• Own delivery accountability across multiple product lines, including release quality, timelines, and client SLAs.
• Run engineering operations including on-call schedules, sprint planning, outage triage, retrospectives, and incident reviews.
• Manage stakeholder priorities across Customer Support, Sales, Product Management, engineering, executives, and clients.

Requirements

• Experience owning a SaaS product end-to-end in a complex data environment, from architecture through client delivery and operations.
• Experience managing multiple product lines and prioritizing work to keep teams unblocked.
• Backend product engineering background with APIs, client-facing integrations, data-driven product surfaces, and visualization layers.
• Track record of building and developing engineering teams.
• Ability to define agentic workflows and contribute meaningfully to architecture and system design without coding daily.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills across technical and commercial audiences.
