Senior Manager Finance

Location: Hybrid in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area; the job details also list San Diego, California.

Annual base salary: $130,000–$160,000.

What you will do

• Provide finance business partnership for US Testing, Biology, and operating units.
• Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, budgeting, variance analysis, and KPI tracking.
• Partner with sales leadership on US/EU commission calculations and prepare financial information for COO presentations.
• Manage, coach, and develop finance staff, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and workload prioritization.
• Oversee the financial data warehouse, Power BI data integrity, master data implementation, and corporate reporting.
• Drive adoption of AI tools and automation to improve financial reporting and variance analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing or mentoring staff.
• Experience presenting financial results to senior management.
• Experience with Great Plains, JDE, SAP S/4, or an equivalent ERP system.
• Experience with financial reporting tools such as LucaNet, QlikView, or Power BI, plus exposure to AI.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, or CMA.
• Life sciences, CRO, or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Fluent Mandarin.
• Experience with occasional business travel.
