Sr Learning & Development Specialist (Manufacturing)

Salary: $86,380–$129,570 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of plant skills capability and learning programs.
• Develop, administer, facilitate, and continuously improve team member training using adult learning and behavior-based training methods.
• Conduct skills-gap analysis and build learning plans covering on-the-job training, skill matrices, career paths, and workforce needs.
• Manage training materials, learning management system standards, e-learning modules, participation records, and recertification tracking.
• Coach subject matter experts and frontline leaders while coordinating training with shift leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Track and communicate training performance metrics, resolve training issues, and align capability development with business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Organizational Development, Operations Management, Educational Studies, Adult Education, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of leadership or site-level training management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience building and scaling learning plans, on-the-job training, skill matrices, career paths, and skills-needs analysis.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory, behavior-based training, frontline engagement, and change management.
• Ability to align L&D strategies with workforce retention, safety performance, and audit-readiness KPIs.
• Strong communication, coaching, mentoring, project management, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Process Quality certification or similar manufacturing certification.
• Experience supporting leadership development and succession pipelines.
