Learning & Development Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the Redondo Beach facility, United States. Occasional travel may be required.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year, with potential stock options and additional benefits.

What you will do

• Own and optimize the company’s learning management system, including course assignment, enrollment, completion tracking, and reporting.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Mission Management, EHS, Security, Quality, Legal, and People teams to identify training needs.
• Develop and maintain onboarding, compliance, safety, technical, and professional-development programs.
• Manage third-party training vendors, including selection, scheduling, delivery, and budgets.
• Establish training policies, compliance tracking, reporting, and metrics while improving programs as the company scales.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, training, or a related HR function.
• Experience selecting, implementing, or administering an LMS and building L&D capabilities from the ground up.
• Strong project management, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
• Experience with training compliance, reporting, and audit readiness, plus proficiency with Microsoft 365 and HRIS/LMS platforms.
• High school diploma or GED certificate equivalent.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with ITAR/export controls, cybersecurity, safety, ethics, or government-contractor training requirements.
• Instructional design experience or an L&D certification such as ATD/CPTD.
• Experience scaling L&D programs in a high-growth startup.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
