Senior Digital Hardware Designer

Location: Onsite in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, and test electronic equipment and systems, including radar, communications, circuitry, computers, and digital signal processing equipment.
• Design and evaluate multilayer printed circuit boards with controlled impedance layers and blind micro-vias.
• Analyze and test signal integrity, crosstalk, and related hardware performance characteristics.
• Develop integrated solutions aligned with changing client requirements and industry best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less senior designers and engineers.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field with 8+ years of job-related experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Experience with schematic capture and extensive experience designing multilayer printed circuit boards.
• Familiarity with microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and systems-on-chip.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, take initiative, and technically lead or mentor less senior engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Mentor design tools.
• High-reliability or space industry experience.
• Experience with worst-case analysis and stress analysis.
