What you will do

• Design electronics hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and manage Bills of Materials.
• Conduct hardware-level integration and system testing.
• Support technical project planning, including cost estimates, schedules, and interface meetings.
• Ensure full traceability between customer requirements and system requirements.
• Develop engineering test requirements and comprehensive test plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree.
• Minimum 2+ years of electronics hardware design and development experience.
• Experience designing PCB boards involving microprocessors and data communication.
• Must be able to access U.S. export-controlled information.
• Must be able to work onsite in Johnson City, TN.

Nice to have

• Expertise in high-speed digital and analog circuit design (Ethernet switches, PHYs, DC/DC power, FPGAs).
• Hands-on experience with communication protocols like USB, CAN, RS-422, RS-485, SPI, I²C, and UART.
• Knowledge of optical system design.
