Senior Automation Engineer OT, NA (OT)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; hybrid with 3 days on site required and 2 flexible days. Travel up to 25% is required, with additional travel possible.

What you will do

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot OT networks using Cisco Stratix switches, industrial firewalls, EtherNet/IP, DLR, and REP topologies.
• Implement OT cybersecurity controls, including intrusion detection, firewalls, network monitoring, assessments, and compliance remediation.
• Develop and support Rockwell Automation PLC solutions, including ControlLogix and CompactLogix platforms.
• Build and maintain Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA systems, including tag configuration, scripting, and dashboard development.
• Support secure integration between enterprise IT and plant-floor OT systems, including diagnostics, performance tuning, documentation, startup, commissioning, and validation.
• Provide rotating 24/7/365 Tier 2 support and collaborate with IT, Operations, Engineering, Design, Construction, Reliability Engineering, and compliance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of OT Automation Engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong experience with Rockwell Automation platforms and Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA.
• Experience with OT/ICS networks, industrial firewalls, switches, secure network design, DLR, REP, EtherNet/IP, and the Purdue Model.
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity standards including ISA/IEC 62443 and NIST 800-82.
• Experience with virtualization, Active Directory, DNS, Domain Controllers, and cross-functional technical collaboration.

Nice to have

• Rockwell Automation, Cisco Industrial Networking, or Ignition SCADA certifications.
• Experience with edge computing, IIoT, Building Management Systems, high availability, redundancy, hyperscale environments, or cloud and virtualization services.
• Python or JavaScript scripting experience for automation and SCADA customization.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server architectures or mobile technologies.
