Software Engineer – BP&A

Location: Chicago, United States

Base salary: $130,000–$180,000 USD per year, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Own meaningful parts of system development, maintenance, process improvement, and automation.
• Build backend tools that improve efficiency, streamline data processing, and reduce load times.
• Develop dashboards and visualization tools for global stakeholders.
• Work with large datasets and data pipelines supporting storage, retrieval, and analysis across the finance organization.
• Partner with BI developers, finance, operations, trading, and middle office teams to maintain and improve the BP&A ecosystem.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or another quantitative field.
• 2–5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and cloud infrastructure.
