What you will do

• Install, change over, set up, and document production and packaging equipment.
• Maintain machinery and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical problems.
• Improve the performance and efficiency of packaging and production machines.
• Lead mechanical and electrical support for projects with minimal direction.
• Lead mechanics in scheduling and performing preventive maintenance on packaging and processing equipment.
• Document maintenance activities, resolve recurring problems, and follow site GMP, safety, and housekeeping procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Industrial maintenance certificate or equivalent required; an associate degree in industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of power wiring, control systems, manufacturing or packaging processes, and technical computer applications including Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong technical, electrical, mechanical, shop, and production-floor skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and determine root causes.
• Ability to lead in a production environment, communicate effectively, share knowledge, learn new technology, and make equipment-repair decisions.
• Ability to perform at least ninth-grade mathematics and maintain high standards for safety and timeliness.
