Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and buildings.
• Assist with repairs to woodworking machinery, infeed and outfeed systems, hand tools, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Order required supplies and parts and maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
• Prepare reports and keep the maintenance work area clean and organized.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other workplace programs.
• Handle hazardous waste and hazardous materials according to established procedures when assigned to the Treating Department.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year of experience in machine repair or maintenance.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, as well as welding.
• Knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
