Senior / Staff Technical Program Manager, Change Governance (Automotive)

What you will do

• Own governance of product changes from tentative engineering approval through cross-functional alignment and production-line implementation.
• Coordinate Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and supplier stakeholders without direct authority.
• Assess multi-tier supply chain impacts and coordinate supplier qualification and launch-readiness activities.
• Confirm implementation readiness, including timing, resourcing, build sequencing, documentation, and training.
• Maintain audit-ready change records in change management, ERP, and PLM systems.
• Build change-pipeline dashboards and automate reporting across Excel, Google Sheets, and Jira using scripts or AI tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of program management experience with physical or hardware product development, BOMs, component qualification, validation cycles, manufacturing, and supply chains.
• Experience with multi-tier automotive supply chains, including OEM and Tier 1–3 dependencies.
• Hands-on automotive program lifecycle experience with APQP, PPAP, and SOP milestones.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, data reconciliation, and scripting for reporting automation.
• Experience with at least one change management, PLM, or ERP tool such as SAP or Windchill.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Engineering or a related technical field, such as an M.S. or MBA.
• ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 certification.
• Experience with PLM or CAD tools.
• Supplier nomination, re-sourcing, dual-sourcing, or supplier development experience.
• Manufacturing launch experience, including line readiness, build sequencing, launch risk management, and run-at-rate or capacity verification.
