Senior Software Engineer I, Product Partnerships (Shopify)

What you will do

• Own large-scale projects expanding e-commerce capabilities and improving backend performance and resiliency.
• Build and evolve secure integration infrastructure for partners such as Shopify.
• Design and code foundational features for synchronizing large volumes of data and enabling real-time customer insights.
• Contribute to technical and product strategy, architecture reviews, and critical company initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and help improve the effectiveness of the team.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, React, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Strong full-stack development background with knowledge of design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with distributed systems, API design, monitoring, and best practices.
• Experience building software at scale and working with agile processes.
• Ability to solve ambiguous and complex problems with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication, organizational, collaboration, ownership, and mentoring skills.
