What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and modify building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and grounds equipment.
• Service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions, malfunctions, and preventive maintenance needs.
• Operate and maintain fire alarms, fire pumps, and related life-safety systems.
• Respond to emergency situations and customer service requests, including extended or overtime assignments when required.
• Perform building finish repairs, carpentry, painting, snow removal, and maintenance improvement recommendations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, plumbing, carpentry, painting, engine repair, or a related area.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record; a commercial license may be required.
• Basic computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word, plus the ability to use smartphones, tablets, web applications, and building automation systems.
• Ability to work shifts, stand-by or on-call duties, and periods without relief during priority or emergency situations.
