CL Sr Claims Consultant (Commercial Lines)

Location: Hybrid role in Bloomington, Minnesota, United States

Salary: $110,000 annually, plus a target incentive of 5%.

What you will do

• Provide claims advocacy and consulting services for complex Commercial Lines clients.
• Conduct claim reviews, measure financial impact, communicate results, and tailor service plans to address adverse loss trends.
• Negotiate with carriers on special account instructions, coverage positions, claim denials, and reservations of rights.
• Develop action plans for complex, high-exposure, and high-profile claims, including guidance on litigation and medical management.
• Review reserving accuracy, evaluate third-party administrators, and support TPA or carrier implementation.
• Partner with risk control, analytics, and placement teams to reduce total cost of risk and manage EPL, D&O, and E&O claims.

Requirements

• 8 or more years of claims administration experience in a Commercial Lines agency.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of multiple Commercial Lines coverages, including workers’ compensation, liability, property, or marine and energy; expertise in at least one line is required.
• Strong understanding of loss forecasting, experience modification factors, reserve analysis, and collateral.
• Expert business, negotiation, data interpretation, written communication, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to C-suite stakeholders.
• Proficiency with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office; a Property & Casualty license is preferred.
