Finance Team Lead (Manufacturing Finance)

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. On-site presence is expected, with one remote working day per week.

What you will do

• Act as the primary finance partner to site operations and provide financial insights to senior management.
• Prepare and analyze monthly manufacturing results, including variance explanations.
• Manage standard and actual costing, inventory controls, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Own site budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and recommendations for plant leadership.
• Manage CAPEX business cases, spending against budget, and validation of realized benefits.
• Lead, guide, and support the development of two finance team members.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing finance or cost accounting.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating a small team.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, Excel, and Power BI, including ERP costing modules and MRP data.
• Professional qualification required: ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong communication, financial analysis, forecasting, problem-solving, and business partnering skills.
• Ability to work on site in Leeds, with one remote day per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with JD Edwards.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA.
