Distribution Center Supervisor I - 2nd Shift (Logistics)

Location: Buford, GA, US; onsite, second shift. Applicants must work in or relocate to Buford, GA. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $78,000–$100,000 USD per year, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead daily second-shift outbound delivery operations, including picking, packing, bill of lading verification, and route departures.
• Coordinate staffing, workload planning, training, and resources across all picking areas.
• Partner with the dedicated delivery carrier to complete loading, shipping, and route cut-off requirements.
• Coach and develop hourly employees while reinforcing safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and accountability expectations.
• Monitor operational KPIs, shipping accuracy, productivity, compliance, and service levels.
• Drive audits, Lean improvements, root-cause analysis, and warehouse or facility initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or 6 years of distribution supervisory experience in lieu of a degree.
• 2–5 years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics operations.
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment and working second shift.
• Experience with safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery metrics, employee engagement, performance management, and labor relations.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and an attached resume are required. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship and existing visa holders are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, SAP, or similar inventory systems.
• Experience in a unionized environment and direct customer-facing experience.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and strong analytical, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
