What you will do

  • Lead multidisciplinary systems engineering activities across integrated product teams and organizational boundaries.
  • Plan and coordinate systems design, requirements development, integration, testing, and verification from preliminary design review through critical design review and later lifecycle stages.
  • Own cross-IPT requirements integration, ensuring requirements are complete, consistent, traceable, verifiable, and properly allocated.
  • Develop and maintain systems architectures, technical baselines, statements of work, technical requirements, CDRLs, and technical data deliverables.
  • Transform program objectives, designs, and requirements into executable technical plans and operational Systems Integration Lab environments.
  • Lead integration of complex hardware, software, network, communications, and test systems while troubleshooting system-level issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
  • 14+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, with extensive systems engineering leadership experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements derivation and allocation, systems design, systems integration, technical risk management, and verification and validation.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary design and development teams and establishing technical direction with incomplete or evolving requirements.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret U.S. security clearance are required.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI, machine learning, cloud computing, real-time operating systems, or embedded systems.
  • Experience with DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB, systems modeling, and simulation tools.
  • MBSE expertise, INCOSE CSEP certification, or aerospace and defense industry experience.
  • Experience with technical performance measurements, trade studies, Agile methodologies, or Scrum Master certification.
