Lead Systems Engineer (Defense)

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams integrating weapons, sensors, launchers, command and control systems, and networks.
• Advise government and military leadership on systems engineering, mission engineering, technology integration, and capability development.
• Develop systems integration strategies, technology roadmaps, system architectures, and engineering modernization initiatives.
• Lead requirements analysis, architecture development, interface definition, integration planning, verification, validation, and technical reviews.
• Conduct trade studies, analyses of alternatives, modeling and simulation, performance assessments, and operational effectiveness evaluations.
• Mentor and oversee senior, mid-level, and junior systems engineers throughout capability development and fielding.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain a polygraph are required.
• 20+ years of technical experience.
• Master’s degree or higher in systems engineering or a related engineering, scientific, mathematical, operations research, engineering management, or STEM discipline.
• Broad systems engineering experience with U.S. Army and/or joint air and missile defense research, development, test, and operations.
• Ability to travel 20%.

Nice to have

• INCOSE ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP certification.
• MBSE certifications and experience with MBSE processes, tools, and languages.
• Experience with Department of Defense or Army programs and large, complex systems of systems.
• Experience engaging with senior government and military leaders at the O-6 level or above.
• Experience writing subsystem specifications and managing cross-discipline technical contributors.
