Senior Systems Integration Engineer (SEMA / SIL)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, supporting the SEMA Program at Redstone Arsenal

What you will do

• Plan, manage, control, and coordinate aircraft system and subsystem upgrades across the Special Electronic Mission Aircraft fleet.
• Identify project requirements, oversee modernization and divestiture efforts, and develop project costs and schedules.
• Serve as Technical Lead in Platform Working Groups, Technical Interchange Meetings, System Integration Laboratories, and Integrated Product Teams.
• Coordinate technical activities with industry partners, the FAA, government organizations, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor integration progress and ensure hardware and software compatibility with the HADES MOSA architecture and broader Army architectures.
• Prepare executive briefings, technical analyses, capability assessments, roadmaps, and acquisition documentation while addressing equipment obsolescence.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• BA/BS degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 17 years of relevant engineering experience in DoD, aviation, systems engineering, technical leadership, or liaison roles.
• Hands-on experience with Aviation MOSA, Common Pilot Equipment, open system frameworks, and integration of complex avionics or sensor systems.
• Experience with flight or laboratory test evaluation, capability assessments, and technical and budgetary documentation for acquisition decision events.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, vendor liaison, and independent execution skills.

Nice to have

• Master of Science degree in engineering or technical management.
• Experience with System Integration Laboratories for fixed-wing or electronic mission aircraft.
• Familiarity with Army Airworthiness Release processes, SRD-AW coordination, or FAA civil certification standards.
• Experience with FACE or VICTORY open architecture standards.
• INCOSE CSEP/ESEP or PMP certification.
