Fabricator (Welding)

Location: Pittsburg, Kansas, United States. Onsite manufacturing facility with day, night, and full-time weekend shifts.

What you will do

• Interpret blueprints and confirm job requirements with the lead person.
• Gather materials and perform layout work according to specifications.
• Set up welding machines and adjust settings for different applications.
• Weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials across multiple positions and joint configurations.
• Inspect welds, repair defective joints, and operate cutting torches and manual plasma cutters as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of welding experience.
• Experience using cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammers.
• Knowledge of welding machine setup and adjustment, with the ability to operate welding equipment safely.
• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform bending and kneeling, maintain balance, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.
