Field Service Technician (Cryogenic)

Location: Worcester, MA — 199 SW Cutoff; field work at hirify.global facilities and customer sites

Salary: $30–$40 per hour

What you will do

• Install, service, and maintain nitrogen on-site generation equipment and cryogenic bulk gas systems.
• Restore and optimize pressure reduction equipment, piping systems, pumps, compressors, and related components.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot electrical systems, motor controls, relays, pressure systems, and alarm systems.
• Perform site surveys, annual inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in accordance with applicable codes and company procedures.
• Install safety decals, warning signs, fencing, and other safeguards for industrial gas installations.
• Maintain recommended parts inventory, support customer sites, and respond to facility emergencies during operating hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 21 years of age.
• At least two years of industrial field service experience, preferably with gas generation systems.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; a service truck is provided after initial training.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications, with the ability to read technical and safety documentation and perform mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly with customers, and make sound technical decisions.
• Ability to lift and transport 25–75 pounds, climb stairs, ladders, and truck beds, work outdoors in varying temperatures, and work around moving mechanical parts and electrical hazards.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of NFPA 99 and NFPA 55 requirements.
• Experience with cryogenic equipment, pressure piping, compressors, pumps, and system troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of welding and silver brazing, including the ability to obtain a Certified Brazer Certificate within 30 days of employment.
• Experience repairing regulators and piping or liquid leaks.
