Field Service Technician (Fuel Cells)

Location: Bedford, Pennsylvania 15522, United States; onsite customer-site work with travel and on-call emergency support as required.

Pay rate: $24.50–$28.50 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and service fuel cells at the customer site.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, evaluations, preventative maintenance, retrofits, and software and hardware upgrades.
• Troubleshoot high-pressure hydrogen storage, 480VAC, flammability, cryogenic liquid, high-pressure gas, and fueling systems as required.
• Provide on-call and emergency customer support, including parts and tool purchasing.
• Report breakdowns, maintain service logs and inventory records, and complete site and system documentation.
• Follow field safety procedures, communicate with customer personnel and hydrogen suppliers, and provide feedback to regional service representatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience; formal training may substitute for direct experience.
• Valid driver license, clean driving record, and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly without assistance and provide a standard personal set of tools; specialized fuel cell tools are provided.
• Mechanical aptitude, computer skills with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, solve technical problems creatively, and maintain high quality and safety standards.
