Field Service Technician (Fuel Cell)

Location: Mankato, Minnesota 56001, United States; onsite customer-site work with travel and on-call support as required

Pay rate: $24.50–$28.50 per hour

What you will do

• Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair fuel cells at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance, breakdown response, field retrofits, and software and hardware upgrades.
• Troubleshoot high-pressure hydrogen storage, 480VAC, cryogenic liquid, high-pressure gas, and fueling systems as required.
• Provide emergency and on-call customer support while communicating with customer personnel and hydrogen suppliers.
• Manage parts, tools, inventory, service logs, incident reports, and site documentation.
• Enforce field safety procedures and provide feedback on fuel cell performance and maintenance issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework; formal training may substitute for direct experience.
• Three or more years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver license, clean driving record, and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly without assistance and provide a standard personal set of tools.
• Mechanical aptitude, computer skills, strong communication, problem-solving, time-management, and independent-work skills.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation is highly preferred.
