Electrical Design Engineer (Industrial Coatings)

Location: Clinton, South Carolina, United States; onsite in a production environment

What you will do

• Design and develop electrical systems through technical analysis, component selection, prototype testing, and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring lists, and bills of materials.
• Support existing product lines by evaluating performance, resolving technical issues, and improving quality and reliability.
• Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, sustainability, and manufacturability requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product enhancements, research, development, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with circuit schematic capture, simulation tools, and PCB layout software.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, soldering, SMT components, and through-hole components.
• Working knowledge of AC/DC power electronics and serial communication protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, organization, communication, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altium, research and development, C, C++, Linux, and MicroC/OS.
• Experience with Stage-Gate or similar new product development processes.
