TL;DR
Electrical Engineer II (Semiconductor Equipment) (AC/DC power distribution and industrial controls): Designing and troubleshooting electrical systems for next-generation 300 mm wafer-level substrate processing equipment with an accent on electrical architecture, safety systems, schematics, and tool-level control concepts. Focus on commissioning PLC-based systems, validating electrical integration, resolving root causes, and improving semiconductor equipment reliability.

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Onsite role with 10% travel; relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $100,000–$136,500 per year.

What you will do

  • Design, review, and support AC and DC electrical distribution systems for industrial semiconductor equipment.
  • Interpret and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Support panel assembly, field wiring verification, component integration, and commissioning.
  • Implement and troubleshoot control systems using sensors, actuators, relays, power supplies, and PLC-based equipment.
  • Perform system validation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and engineering documentation updates.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, controls, manufacturing, and service engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with AC/DC power distribution and industrial control circuits.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial connectors, panel wiring, cable routing, and electrical integration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic to moderately complex electrical systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, California, with approximately 10% travel.

Nice to have

  • Experience with semiconductor equipment or industrial tools.
  • Exposure to system-level architecture definition.
