Electrical Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Own and maintain electrical systems across production equipment, robotic systems, and other factory-floor equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical issues and drive problems through to resolution.
• Specify electrical components and hardware for equipment upgrades, new machines, and robotics projects.
• Design industrial electrical cabinets, control panels, wiring diagrams, and harnesses.
• Build, wire, modify, and bring up electrical systems in-house while coordinating with cabinet and harness vendors.
• Collaborate with robotics, controls, mechanical, manufacturing, software, operations, and facilities teams to bring equipment online and establish electrical design standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 1 year of professional experience with physical electrical or electromechanical systems; significant hands-on project experience may be considered.
• Strong hands-on experience with equipment, wiring, harnesses, sensors, motors, and other hardware.
• Experience designing, building, troubleshooting, or integrating electrical systems at the system level.
• Ability to read and create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Applicants must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial controls, factory robotics, PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, sensors, or industrial communications.
• Experience designing industrial control cabinets, electrical panels, or wiring harnesses.
• Experience working with cabinet, harness, or electrical fabrication vendors.
• Manufacturing or production equipment experience in an industrial environment.
• Formula SAE, Baja SAE, robotics team, or similar hands-on engineering project experience.
