Lead Assembler (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform complex sub-assembly and final assembly of products, components, fixtures, and accessories.
• Complete mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, soldering, electronic component programming, and final quality checks.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues using advanced electronic fundamentals and logic.
• Use multimeters, hi-pot and ground bond meters, megohm meters, factory testers, and other devices to verify quality and reliability.
• Optimize assembly procedures, manage Kanban flow and plant metrics, and maintain safe, organized work areas.
• Direct workflow within assigned cells and train, mentor, and cross-train other assemblers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3–5 years in a lead role directing the work of others.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to use hand and small power tools and perform manual assembly, testing, and calibration tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to teach others with compassion and understanding that people learn differently.
