Field Claims Representative (Insurance)

Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin, United States. Hybrid work may be available after initial in-person training, according to leadership-defined responsibilities.

What you will do

• Investigate claims, assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate losses, and analyze legal liability.
• Handle multi-line property and casualty claims in an assigned territory, with an emphasis on property claims.
• Review insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to determine applicable coverage.
• Work toward claim resolution and attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when necessary.
• Conduct investigations by phone, mail, and on site, while ensuring accurate and timely claim payments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience handling property and casualty claims.
• At least three years of experience handling multi-line property and casualty claims, with an emphasis on property claims.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, complex problem-solving ability, and the capacity to organize and interpret data.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, work with diverse individuals, and perform accurate mathematical and financial calculations.
• Ability to drive, a valid driver’s license, and a driving record that meets underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

• Field claims handling experience.
• Knowledge of Xactimate software.
