Claim Specialist - Auto Injury - Hybrid

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States; hybrid work with regular in-office collaboration

Potential starting salary: $70,101.85–$83,535.93 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Review and analyze auto injury claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
• Investigate claims by gathering information, interviewing involved parties, and reviewing supporting documentation.
• Evaluate medical records, police reports, and related documents to assess injuries and liability.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants within applicable policy limits.
• Document claim activities, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports.
• Coordinate complex claims with legal, medical, risk assessment, vendors, independent experts, and defense counsel, including lawsuits and attorney demands.

Requirements

• Prior claim handling experience, including bodily injury, property damage liability, and uninsured or underinsured motorist claims.
• Experience verifying coverage, legal liability, and the extent of damage using insurance policies, procedures, laws, statutes, and regulations.
• Litigation experience and effective negotiation, communication, decision-making, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently, manage multiple technical platforms, and identify claim complexities requiring expert or legal coordination.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Successful completion of required training, proficiency and licensing examinations, background checks, and possible pre-employment assessments.
