Claim Specialist - Property Field Inspection

Location: Burleson East, Texas; candidates must reside within the listed service zip codes and conduct in-person property inspections in the assigned area. The role is remote-field, combining work from home with a mobile office/vehicle, field appointments, and occasional travel outside the assigned territory.

Salary: $63,089.65–$90,000 annually, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Conduct on-site inspections and assess damage for residential and commercial property claims.
• Meet with policyholders, explain coverage, gather information, and guide customers through the claims process.
• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed claim reports.
• Evaluate coverage and policy terms, apply regulations, and determine claim validity.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits while providing professional customer service.

Requirements

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to interpret detailed policies and technical information and apply them accurately.
• Proficiency with mobile and desktop tools used to document claims in the field and remotely.
• Physical agility required for frequent lifting, carrying, ladder climbing, roof navigation, and crawling in tight spaces.
• Valid driver's license required; required training, licensing exams, motor vehicle record checks, and background checks must be completed.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent property claims experience.
• Knowledge of property insurance policies, coverage, and claim-handling practices.
• Residential and commercial building construction knowledge.
• Water mitigation inspection experience.
• Xactimate and XactContents experience.
