Software Development Engineering Intern (HVAC)

Location: Hybrid work based out of the White Bear Lake, Minnesota office; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays.

Salary: $24.30–$33.48 per hour

What you will do

• Write and maintain clean code in Python, C++, or JavaScript.
• Develop features for controls, digital platforms, and service tools under senior developer guidance.
• Debug and resolve technical issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Write automated unit tests to maintain code quality and coverage.
• Collaborate with Product, Hardware, UX/UI, and QA teams.
• Present an internship capstone project to engineering leadership.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language through coursework or personal projects.
• Basic familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
