HSS - Sr System Administrator Wintel

Location: Any city in the United Kingdom; fully onsite at the customer location five days per week. Hybrid and remote working are not available.

What you will do

• Provide first- and second-level technical support for incidents and problems.
• Monitor system performance and maintain smooth system functionality.
• Implement standards, policies, and procedures for continual service improvement.
• Create, maintain, and use technical documentation.
• Support compliance with operational processes and policies.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and meet applicable UK Government and contractual security requirements, including residency requirements.
• Experience supporting Windows server environments and Wintel infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of ITIL best practices.
• Strong organisation, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach to identifying risks, problems, and root causes.
• Willingness to share knowledge and learn from others.

Nice to have

• Windows 2016/2019, Active Directory, RBAC, DFS, AWS, and Azure experience.
• Experience with VMware vSphere/vSAN, SCVMM, Hyper-V, Microsoft Clustering, or Veritas clustering.
• Experience administering HP iLO, Cisco USC blade and rack systems, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, and WAN.
• PowerShell scripting for process automation.
• Experience with Citrix, Terminal Services Client, or Windows Remote Assistance.
