TL;DR
IT Systems Administrator (Azure/Entra ID): Managing and developing stable, secure, and scalable on-premises and cloud infrastructure for a creative game studio with an accent on Microsoft cloud administration, virtualization, networking, and infrastructure security. Focus on maintaining servers and core services, automating administrative tasks, responding to incidents, and improving backup, disaster recovery, and cloud operations.
Location: Remote-first hybrid role for candidates commutable to Birmingham, UK as needed
Salary: £38,000–£56,000 per year, depending on experience, plus discretionary performance bonuses

What you will do
- Manage and maintain Windows, Mac, and Linux server infrastructure.
- Administer Google Workspace, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, and other cloud services.
- Maintain virtualization platforms, storage, backups, disaster recovery, and core services.
- Monitor infrastructure health, respond to incidents, and identify operational improvements.
- Support network infrastructure and implement security best practices across client, network, and infrastructure systems.
- Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades while automating routine administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud administration, including Entra ID, Intune, and Azure.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as Proxmox or OpenStack.
- Solid networking knowledge and strong troubleshooting skills across multiple technologies.
- Experience with scripting or programming using PowerShell, Bash, C#, or similar tools.
- Experience supporting both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Nice to have
- Experience in a game development or creative studio environment.
- Familiarity with CI/CD infrastructure, project management, or Ubiquiti UniFi.
- Programming experience, particularly in C#.
- IT generalist or hobbyist experience.
- Familiarity with or its games.
