Internal IT Systems Engineer (LegalTech)

Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Edinburgh

What you will do

• Build automated joiner/mover/leaver pipelines to manage identity, access, and device enrollment without manual intervention.
• Develop Slack-based AI assistants to handle employee IT requests and troubleshooting automatically.
• Design and maintain physical hardware vending solutions for the Edinburgh office.
• Write infrastructure-as-code scripts to enforce security baselines and automate SOC 2 compliance evidence generation.
• Own the end-to-end employee IT experience, from onboarding to offboarding and hardware management.

Requirements

• Must be comfortable working on-site in Edinburgh and hands-on with physical hardware.
• Proficiency in writing production-grade code using Python, Bash, or TypeScript.
• Strong systems thinking regarding identity, access, data flows, and lifecycle management.
• Experience or comfort using AI coding agents to build and ship tooling rapidly.
• Commitment to security-first engineering and building scalable, automated systems.

Nice to have

• Exposure to identity and device management tools like Okta, Google Workspace, or Jamf.
• Experience with SOC 2 or other security compliance frameworks.
• Background in automating onboarding, endpoint management, or internal tooling.
