Systems Engineer

What you will do

• Design and deliver mission-critical services and systems alongside software engineers.
• Operate infrastructure and services at scale for a high-traffic, real-time marketplace and other business products.
• Build resilient, dynamically scaling, and self-healing systems in Amazon Web Services.
• Automate infrastructure and monitor systems using Terraform, Puppet, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and Jenkins.
• Support production environments using Nginx, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Consul, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and systems architecture.
• Strong production experience with Linux, databases, web servers, and file servers at scale.
• Experience with cloud, virtualization, or container services such as AWS, GCP, Azure, VMware, OpenStack, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure orchestration tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Programming experience with Python, Go, PHP, Ruby, or Node.
• Experience with incident response and a security-focused mindset; a relevant university degree is preferred.
