What you will do
- Build, tune, patch, and rebuild RHEL and Ubuntu estates supporting the live trading environment.
- Work with kernel and NIC tuning, server resource allocation, operating system customization, and automation using Ansible, Python, and Bash.
- Operate and harden Arista, Cisco, and Juniper networks using BGP, OSPF, and multicast market data feeds.
- Analyze packet captures and latency, and participate in on-call rotations and P1 incident resolution during market hours.
- Develop observability through Prometheus, Grafana, logging, dashboards, and alerting.
- Attend regular check-ins with Infrastructure and Emerging Talent teams while specializing in Linux or Networks.
Requirements
- Final-year undergraduate or master's student in Networking, Network Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, high-paced environment.
- Willingness to adopt and use emerging AI technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, learning, synthesis, collaboration, initiative, and accountability skills.
- Work is based in London.
