Senior Director, Employment Litigation and HR Investigations

Location: Hybrid in Bethesda, Maryland, United States; requires 3 days working onsite in the Bethesda office.

Annual salary: $210,000–$350,000.

What you will do

• Lead hirify.global’s employment litigation portfolio, including single-plaintiff and class or collective actions, administrative charges, and workplace investigations.
• Manage litigation through discovery, motions, trial, and appeal, including outside counsel, budgets, and fee negotiations.
• Improve litigation operations through stronger intake processes, workflows, metrics, and reporting.
• Develop cost-effective defense and resolution strategies, identify legal risks, and support enterprise transformation and change management.
• Advise business partners and senior leadership on complex disputes, discovery strategy, workplace investigations, regulatory developments, and risk mitigation.
• Lead, develop, and mentor attorneys while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external counsel.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 12 or more years of legal experience, including significant single-plaintiff and class or collective employment litigation experience.
• Current or recent Senior Director-level experience or equivalent, with accountability for enterprise outcomes and leadership of managers.
• Experience conducting, managing, or advising on complex workplace investigations and managing attorneys handling litigation.
• Strong understanding of litigation risk and the regulatory environment affecting workplaces and employers, with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and data-driven decision-making skills.
