Location: Houston, TX / Nationwide; on-site at client and partner locations. Must relocate to the Houston, TX area.

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead construction and renovation projects for QC laboratories, pharmaceutical and biotechnology facilities, cleanrooms, manufacturing support areas, and other regulated life sciences environments.
• Manage field execution from project planning through turnover, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client expectations.
• Coordinate engineering, quality, validation, commissioning, EHS, operations, contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Oversee contractor performance, field resources, construction sequencing, site logistics, walk-downs, readiness reviews, safety audits, and coordination meetings.
• Apply technical knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC controls, electrical systems, clean utilities, laboratory gases, pressure cascades, HEPA filtration, and cleanroom infrastructure.
• Identify risks, resolve field issues, manage punch lists and documentation turnover, and support commissioning, qualification, validation, and system startup.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or a high school diploma/GED with equivalent construction management experience.
• At least 10 years of construction management experience in regulated life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, cleanroom, or manufacturing facilities.
• At least 10 years of experience managing multiple contractors, field teams, project priorities, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder expectations.
• Technical knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC controls, electrical systems, clean utilities, laboratory gases, pressure cascades, HEPA filtration, laboratory equipment installation, commissioning support, and construction execution.
• Must be able to work on-site at client locations and relocate to the Houston, TX area.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering QC, analytical, microbiology, or pharmaceutical laboratories, cleanrooms, or GMP facilities.
• OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with shutdowns, outages, tie-ins, phased construction, occupied facilities, OSHA regulations, LOTO, electrical safety, and contractor safety management.
• Familiarity with commissioning, qualification, validation, turnover documentation, quality systems, and inspection readiness.
