Location: Onsite at Frederick National Laboratory, 8560 Progress Drive, Frederick, Maryland, United States

Salary: $72,100–$106,037 per year

What you will do

  • Support cross-functional project and program management for the Vaccine, Immunity and Cancer Directorate.
  • Assist with research subcontracts, collaboration agreements, CRADAs, MTAs, purchasing, fiscal planning, and compliance activities.
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes, action items, reports, proposals, statements of work, deliverables, and formal submissions.
  • Support personnel actions, onboarding and offboarding, equipment requests, vendor certification, and laboratory operations.
  • Maintain accurate biological material inventory data and liaise with HR, Finance, Purchasing, Equipment, and other internal groups.
  • Collaborate with program directors, scientific managers, laboratory staff, and internal and external stakeholders to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related field, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least two years of related experience in research management, experimental planning, proposal writing, or project management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Strong written and oral communication, organization, multitasking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Medical clearance and immunizations are required because of potential exposure to infectious material.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree and two to three years of laboratory, serology, or assay development experience.
  • Experience with GCLP, GLP, GMP, GxP, or clinical testing.
  • Familiarity with immunoassays, laboratory equipment maintenance, and LIMS.
  • Knowledge of CostPoint, Cognos, Corcentric, ERP systems, finance, budgeting, or project management software.
  • PMP certification.
