Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

Location: Remote within the continental United States. U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret and/or CBP/DHS suitability security clearance are required.

Salary: $135,000–$170,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, geographic work location, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, enhancement, and sustainment of statistical and machine learning analytics for the FALCON effort.
• Develop models for detecting kinematic behaviors from live, historical, time-series, and geospatial data.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, create training and test datasets, and perform cleansing, validation, and ETL workflows.
• Apply feature engineering, classifier optimization, event forecasting, anomaly detection, and algorithm performance evaluation.
• Build simulations and analytical reports to guide software development and communicate results to internal, external, and mission stakeholders.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, and customers to deliver reliable applications, APIs, data pipelines, and analytical capabilities.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and hold a current Top Secret security clearance and/or CBP/DHS suitability.
• At least 3 years of professional experience applying machine learning to time-series and/or geospatial data, including event forecasting.
• Strong Python skills with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and SciPy.
• Strong statistical knowledge covering statistical testing, regression, probability, scoring, and algorithm performance measurement.
• At least 3 years of experience with databases or data file systems such as PostgreSQL or HDFS and version control systems such as Git.
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, data analytics, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related discipline, plus 5+ years of industry experience in data science.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with deep learning technologies such as PyTorch, Keras, or TensorFlow.
• Experience with radar data and data correlation.
