Salary: $190,000–$235,000 annual base salary, plus performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do
- Set modeling strategy and lead complex, high-impact data science initiatives across the organization.
- Develop hybrid models combining deep learning, large language models, and traditional statistical and machine learning methods.
- Prototype, validate, deploy, and commercialize models rapidly.
- Work with big data, federated learning, unstructured data, time series, sequence modeling, GLMs, XGBoost, and Transformers.
- Communicate analytical results clearly to customers, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Build reusable packages, frameworks, and team standards that improve model development and delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative or technical field with 8+ years of professional data science experience, or a master’s/Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience building predictive models.
- Expert-level knowledge of deep learning, machine learning algorithms, and the Python data science ecosystem.
- Deep experience with natural language, medical data, long-tail predictions, or comparable problem spaces.
- Strong familiarity with the full MLOps lifecycle, including pipelines, model quality standards, monitoring, and drift detection.
- Experience owning long-term model impact through KPI monitoring, issue triage, technical debt management, and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including explaining technical topics to nontechnical stakeholders and leadership.
Nice to have
- Fluency with actuarial methods and experience working with actuaries.
- Familiarity with healthcare and medical data.
- Experience with insurance underwriting, claims, long-tailed events, or rare-event prediction.
