Technology Solutions Software Engineer II-III (Embedded Software)

Location: Hybrid role based in Greenville, North Carolina, United States

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for connected products, intelligent control systems, and vehicle communications.
• Define system requirements and scalable software architectures with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Validate software through simulation, testing, troubleshooting, and system verification throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, product management, suppliers, and service teams on product development, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
• At Level III, lead code and design reviews, provide technical guidance, collaborate with suppliers, and mentor early-career engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of relevant embedded software development experience for Level II, or at least 4 years for Level III.
• Experience with embedded programming in C, C++, and/or Assembly.
• Knowledge of embedded control systems, electrical systems, software testing, system verification, and control system architectures.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink, real-time control networks, CAN bus including SAE J1939 and CANopen, Ethernet, wireless, or cellular communications.
• Hybrid work is based at the Greenville, NC facility; relocation assistance is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• For Level III, knowledge of industry standards, project scheduling, embedded software architectures, and technical leadership.
