Embedded Software Engineering Specialist - Remote Control (Embedded C/C++)

Location: Onsite five days a week at the Irving, Texas; Mossville, Illinois; or Clayton, North Carolina office. Up to 10% travel required. Domestic relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $128,470–$208,770 per year

What you will do

• Define and drive software architecture for remote control and autonomy systems on embedded platforms.
• Design, develop, review, integrate, and test real-time embedded control software using C/C++.
• Lead AUTOSAR-based architecture and development, including BSW and RTE.
• Define software requirements with traceability to system and customer needs and standardize machine interfaces across platforms.
• Support cybersecurity, functional safety, verification, validation, quality practices, and root-cause analysis.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring while coordinating with distributed engineering teams, platform initiatives, and production-readiness activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Strong expertise in embedded C/C++ development in RTOS environments and software architecture for embedded or autonomy systems.
• Deep knowledge of AUTOSAR, preferably Classic AUTOSAR, including BSW and RTE.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, CAN, Ethernet, Git, debuggers, and cross-compilers.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, technical troubleshooting, and structured problem solving.
• Must work onsite five days per week at the Irving, Mossville, or Clayton office.
