Senior Electrical Engineer (EV Charging and Renewable Energy)

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineering and design approaches for projects across EV charging, electric utility, renewable energy, and telecommunications.
• Review and approve electrical engineering deliverables, construction drawings, cost estimates, and contract documents.
• Develop and review low- and medium-voltage power distribution designs, including protection, control, wiring, and grounding systems.
• Perform short-circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash, load, ampacity, and grounding-related analyses.
• Coordinate utility service installations and upgrades, conduct site surveys, and collaborate with field crews and multidisciplinary teams.
• Delegate assignments, support resource allocation, resolve project performance issues, and provide guidance and training to junior engineers.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles and the ability to design in accordance with NEC, NESC, NFPA 780, IEEE publications, client standards, and local requirements.
• Experience with electrical engineering software such as ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, CYME, CYMCAP, PowerWorld, XGSLab, CDEGS, or PLS-CADD.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, collaborate effectively, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• EIT or PE certification.
• AutoCAD or MicroStation experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
