Senior Electrical Engineer, Water

Location: New York, NY, United States; hybrid/remote work indicated by the posting.

Base compensation: $117,600–$176,400 annually.

What you will do

• Serve as Lead Electrical Engineer and Engineer of Record on industrial, infrastructure, utility, and facility projects.
• Lead and mentor a team of 1–3 electrical engineers and designers.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, technical quality, and project status reporting.
• Develop technical reports, construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, contractors, vendors, manufacturers, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Conduct site visits and field investigations and provide construction-phase support while contributing to proposals and client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of electrical consulting or related engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with willingness to obtain additional state PE licenses as needed.
• Experience leading projects, managing technical teams, and coordinating electrical designs across multiple disciplines.
• Strong client-facing consulting, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF markup/editing software; working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NEMA, NFPA, building codes, IES, IECC, and ASHRAE standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with AGi32, SKM Power Tools, or equivalent software.
• Medium-voltage power distribution experience.
• ENV SP, PMP, LEED AP, DBIA, CESCP, or CEM certification.
