Lead Frontend Engineer

Location: Onsite in Arlington, Virginia or Austin, Texas, United States

Salary: $140,000–$200,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Define and implement reusable UI framework components for rapid feature development.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and technical leads to implement detailed product designs.
• Develop complete functionality from broad requirements, including edge cases, error states, and responsive behavior.
• Build interfaces for large-scale data investigation, real-time collaboration, task and resource planning, and high-dimensional data visualization.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and one-on-one support to developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus 7+ years of software engineering experience; comparable experience may substitute for the degree.
• 5+ years of experience with component-based frameworks such as Vue, Ember, React, or Angular.
• 4+ years of experience developing responsive web applications and deep knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 2+ years of experience as a technical lead for an agile development team.
• Experience with AI coding tools, Webpack or Vite, Git, Jira, and collaboration with designers and product managers.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a government security clearance up to TS/SCI are required.

Nice to have

• Managerial experience, API development, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• AWS or DevOps infrastructure experience.
• Experience creating simultaneous content-editing features.
• Familiarity with SQL and databases.
