Mechanical Design Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

hirify.global's SPTS division designs, manufactures, and markets wafer-processing solutions for the semiconductor and related industries, including etch and deposition technologies for MEMS, advanced packaging, LED, RF, and power semiconductor applications.

What you will do

• Own the complete mechanical design process, including requirements definition, feasibility studies, cost management, and scheduling.
• Design and develop EFEMs, mechanical components, and integrated assemblies using CREO Parametric 3D and Pro/E.
• Conduct or direct CFD and FEA analyses to optimize airflow and mechanical performance.
• Create 2D drawings and apply mechanical tolerancing and GD&T to achieve fit and functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers on component development, procurement, integration, cost, and schedule.
• Participate in design reviews, prototype testing, system integration, and production release.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification in engineering or a related subject, or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing with 3D CAD software, ideally Creo.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, including design principles, materials selection, and fabrication or machining methods.
• Experience with 2D drafting and tolerance analysis.
• Ability to own project-level and task-level work and lead mechanical design projects.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with CFD airflow analysis, FEA, design for manufacture, or welded sheet-metal structures and frames.
• Experience with measurement instrumentation, testing, and data acquisition.
• Programming experience in Python, C, C++, C#, or MATLAB.
