Sr Electrical Engineer (CRM)

Location: Onsite at least 5 days per week in Mounds View, Minnesota, in the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area, United States

Salary: $120,800–$181,200 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Design, develop, analyze, debug, characterize, and verify electrical systems for pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, diagnostic devices, programmers, monitors, and patient communicators.
• Develop analog and digital circuitry and integrate electronics with firmware and mechanical designs.
• Define production test requirements and support PCB, device assembly, and manufacturing test applications.
• Develop and validate test procedures, automated test environments, emulation systems, and non-product software validation methods.
• Interpret system and product requirements and verify compliance.
• Mentor junior-level engineers and contribute to the Cardiac Rhythm Management electrical system design team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with no required experience.
• Strong electrical engineering background covering analog and digital circuitry, electrical design evaluation, and debugging.
• Experience with PCB design methodology, CAD tools, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with circuit simulation tools such as PSPICE or LTSPICE and with MATLAB modeling.
• Experience with C/C++, LabVIEW, or Python scripting.
• Unrestricted United States work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is offered only for Principal-level roles and above.

Nice to have

• Technical leadership experience.
• RF performance evaluation and debugging experience.
• Design, verification, and validation experience with Class III medical devices or similar regulated products.
• Familiarity with ISO 14708 or IEC 60601.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
